For years I have argued without generating much of an audience that Toronto sports fans are the most unsophisticated fans on the planet. Torontonians are not appreciative of athletic prowess or excellence nor of the raw love of any sport. Rather, they are attracted to HYPE like flies to a bug zapper. The more hoopla and buy-in from their big brother Americans, the more Toronto sports fans are apt to support it. That is why the Blue Jays, Argos, Marlies and non-MMA contact sports will always have an uphill battle when competing for the sport dollar in Hog town. And no group is more cognisant of this reality than MLSE. You are bang on!
